Hello,

First I like to say that am impress from you plugin. thank you.

How can I rotate the listing images. Some portrait photos when I upload them automatically rotate to landscape and I need an option to rotate the back or to disable this auto rotation.

thank you in advance.

Yiannis

Hi Yiannis,

Manual rotation of uploaded images is not possible with AWPCP at this time. We will look into this function when working on a future release.

The orientation of the uploaded images normally depends on what device they were taken (camera, phones, etc.). We normally have issues with photos taken using a mobile phone. Is this the same case with yours?

Hi ygchsghiz,

We will look into this behavior when working on a future release. For now, you would need to rotate the images before uploading them.

Same problem on mobile. But, in wordpress post, the same image uploaded, has no rotation problem. I’ve just tried out of curiosity. It`s using plupload.full.min.js?

Hi razvanm,

I would have to check with our programmer regarding this. I’d get back to you as soon as I can.

Hi ygchsghiz,

I got some update from our programmer. The problem here is from the phone itself. We’ve seen this only on mobile and it’s something from the phone’s metadata attached to the image. We aren’t able to compensate for it right now in a way that doesn’t interfere on other devices or computers.

Just had the same problem here, and a paying customer complaining. :/

Downloading the images back to my computer and the rotation is fine … hmmm!

Hi Paul,

As I have mentioned above, it’s something from the phone’s metadata attached to the image. We aren’t able to compensate for it right now in a way that doesn’t interfere images uploaded using other devices or computers.

I’m having the same issues. Has anyone on this thread found a fix?

Is there a way to get the uploaded images to load in the Wordpress Media Library? If so, we could rotate the images pretty easily there. Giving users the option to rotate on the front end would be better, but that might be more complicated.

Hi Brian,

We haven’t got into resolving this yet as we are in the middle of the custom post type migration for AWPCP. Once we are done with it, we should be able to fix this.
