Hello,

I recently cleaned up some unusued plugins and now getting this message:

Error: The AWPCP XML Sitemap module requires Google Sitemap Generator version 3.2.5 or newer!

Is this really needed as I'm already using Yoast?

Otherwise, which plugin is this exactly as there several with same name.

Thanks.

Hi sctpfwape,

Thank you for your post. The plugin we recommend there is located here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/.....generator/

However, as you correctly point you, you would not need this if Yoast is generating a sitemap for you.

I hope that helps.

Thanks, but why then do I get this error message when this plugin is uninstalled and Yoast still active?

Hi sctpfwape,

Thanks for following up here.

To disable that message, you should deactivate and delete the The AWPCP XML Sitemap module, as it sounds like you have the sitemap covered by Yoast.

Please try that and let me know if you run into more issues.

Do you really mean that this AWPCP XML Sitemap module is not needed at all when using Yoast?

Hi sctpfwape,

Yes, that is correct -- they both create a sitemap, so only one is needed.
