"Edit ad" link missing from "show ad" page after plugin update to 3.6.3

We use the front-end Edit Ad page on our site, but the link to that page that used to appear on the Show Ad page is no longer there (although I can get to the page if I craft the link manually).

So, if I am looking at an ad I have placed at a URL like so: https://www.harpcolumn.com/harp-column-classifieds/show-ad/1150

I do not see an “edit” link, but if I manually browse to: https://www.harpcolumn.com/harp-column-classifieds/edit-ad/1150/

then I see the edit page.

 

Is there an easy remedy for this?

Hi Kim,

Thanks for contacting me here. Sorry that you ran into issues with this!

You mentioned updating to 3.6.3. Are you currently using the latest version of AWPCP? That would be Version 3.8.2. If not, you can download it here: https://awpcp.com/download/

If so, you should also try a conflict test and see if that may tell us what’s happening here. Here is an article about how to test for theme and plugin conflicts with AWPCP, which may help pinpoint the issue: http://awpcp.com/forum/faq/how…..conflicts/

That will help us troubleshoot the issue a little faster. Please let me know.

Hi, we’re still having issues with this. Yes, we’ve tested for plugin conflicts. We’ve turned off everything except AWPCP (v. 3.8.2) and the Authorize.net premium module and set a generic theme and we still do not see a link for users to edit their ads. Here’s a screenshot: 

What do you suggest?

For the same user, here is the ad catalog showing her ad:

So, the edit page is available, there is just no link to it showing up in the show page, or on the catalog page.

Thanks for that explanation of what is happening here. Can we please get WP admin and FTP credentials to your site to look into this further?

We need the following information to debug the issue:
– A link to this forum thread
– WP admin username
– WP admin password
– WP login URL
– FTP username

Sent WP admin credentials along with a link to this thread etc. Let me know if you need an actual shell account, we don’t support FTP on our servers.

I know it can seem like a long time between responses, especially with the time difference and the weekends (which the developer doesn’t typically work). I have requested that the developer provide a status update today, so that we know what’s happening. 

Sometimes, there is a backup in support issues where a delay like this cannot be avoided. At times like this, we appreciate your patience.
