Okay, so when I first tested AWPCP, I had no issues with the e-mail sending notifications. But it was brought to my attention today that even though users have been posting classifieds, we've been receiving no notification that we have an ad pending approval. The plug-in says that it sends notifications to the admin...but we've got three admin accounts on our site besides the main one. I checked with each and they haven't gotten any notifications, either.
Furthermore, since we're not getting any e-mail notification, we're not able to see any contact information for the people who have posted, so we have no way of contacting them.
I also noticed when I was doing some tests that when I placed a classified using my work e-mail, I got the following error message:
"Although your ad has been submitted, there was a problem encountered while attempting to email your ad details to the email address you provided."
When I placed an ad using my old AOL address, I did get an e-mail at the AOL address saying that my ad had been submitted. I still wasn't notified at my admin address, though.
I also noticed that the address that the e-mail came from isn't any address that I have set up: [email protected]. Bluehost.com is my host, but to the best of my knowledge this address doesn't exist. I attempted to change the address that it sends from to my work address, but it still shows the wrong address. So now I'm wondering if the problem is that the plug-in is identifying the wrong address as the admin address?

Sorry to hear you're having issues.
A few questions for you:
- Did you override the SMTP settings or are you using the default?
- What should be your WP admin email? That's the default it will use if you didn't configure the email above.
- Can you receive email from your WP blog OK?
- What version of AWPCP are you running?

I was using the default, although yesterday when I was browsing through the documentation looking for solutions, I tried to set the SMTP info. That didn't seem to work, but then I really didn't know what I was doing with it.
The admin e-mail should be [email protected]...I'm not sure why the BlueHost address is showing, but I'm going to check on that with them. Other e-mails seem to be coming through okay from WP, but I did notice last night that I had issues e-mailing my work address from home, and I contacted our technical support about it.
The version I'm currently running is 126.96.36.199.

Okay, I talked to our tech support and gave me a Yahoo address to try out the plug-in. I switched the main address, and the notification came through just fine. So apparently it's NOT the plug-in, just our filters. I'll talk to our tech guy about a way around it, but for now the Yahoo address will suffice.
