Hi,

I uploaded a image for a listing from my mobile. The original image orientation was portrait. On my mobile it retains the original orientation but on my PC the image is displayed on its side (rotated 90 degrees to the left). I use the default settings for image sizes. The images get cropped (square) automatically for the thumbnail and primary which fine but I can’t have a image displayed incorrectly.

Jason

Hi Jason,

The problem here is from the phone itself. We’ve seen this only on mobile and it’s something from the phone’s metadata attached to the image. We aren’t able to compensate for it right now in a way that doesn’t interfere on other devices or desktops.

That’d not the answer I was hoping for 🙁 I really don’t want to have to worry about image orientation uploads 🙁
