Hi, I'm looking for a little advice regarding ad duration. I was under the impression that (for example) a listing set to have a 7 day duration would mean the listing would be viewable for 7 days from when the listing is enabled by admin.

I'm finding that if a 7 day listing is created by a user, the ad_enddate is set to 7 days from when the listing was created. If the listing is not approved/enabled until the following day, the ad_enddate does not change to account for the "missing" day, meaning the customer only gets 6 days advertising rather than 7.

Is this how the site should behave? Or are there some settings i'm missing?

I'm using AWPCP version: 3.9.5 and the AWPCP Fee Per Category Module. Wordpress version is 5.1.1.

Thanks.

Hi Martin Stewart,

Thank you for your post. I am double checking this answer and will let you know once I've heard back from a developer on this. Thank you for your patience!

Hi Martin Stewart,

Thanks for your patience here.

I just heard back from the developer regarding the issue you reported, and here is what he said:
--------------------------------------

What the customer describes is the current behavior both in 3.9.5 and 4.0.0. We don't adjust the start date to account for the numbers of days that the ad was disabled waiting for admin approval.

Right now that's how the website should behave, but it is not the "correct" behavior. We will add this to our bug fix list to get this addressed as soon as possible.

--------------------------------------

Thank you for bringing the issue to our attention. For now, you can manually adjust the end date of the ads if you need to, and keep an eye out for this fix after we release 4.0.
