Since the last AWCP plugin update, we’ve been having lots of problems with users uploading images with incorrect orientation, and there’s no way for them to edit them after they’re uploaded, adding lots of extra work on our end. The image appears to be correctly oriented on the user’s end, but when it’s uploaded to AWCP, it’s sideways. This is probably due to user error in some way, but it’s still a problem. Can you consider adding basic image rotation controls to the next update of this plugin? Because the images don’t go into the wordpress media library, there’s no way to edit these images easily. Or, could you consider integrating images with the regular wordpress media library?

Thanks!

P.S: This post is being attributed to “mythaipassion” although I’m logged in as kimharp. No idea who that is or why that username is showing up on my post!

Hi kimharp,

We are sorry that you ran into this. We will look into it when working on a future release.

Are the images being uploaded through a computer or a mobile device?

Which version of WP and AWPCP are you using?

The username issue is a bug on this forum software that we are currently checking.

Hi, thanks for the reply. We’re running the latest version of AWCP (3.5.3.1.). We weren’t having this problem before updating but now it seems that most of our users are having problems uploading photos. We don’t have any way of knowing how they’re uploading them, but I’m guessing they’re not using mobile. Here’s an example (unless someone fixes it before you see it): https://www.harpcolumn.com/harp-column-classifieds/show-ad/?id=538

Is there an image setting I’m overlooking that could be causing this?

Thanks,

Kimharp (not mythaipassion)

Hello Kimharp, did you find a way to fix this? I visited your site (looks great by the way!), and it looks like your images are oriented correctly. What did you do to rotate the images?
