Hello, I'm new to using AWPCP and the premium modules. Great plugin! But I'm hoping someone can give me some ideas on how to set up the fees and subscriptions to solve a problem.
Here is my challenge, my client wants to set this up with different tiers of pricing.
Regular visitors can come and post one free ad at a time. But shop owners or vendors have to pay to place multiple ads. Now I know this sounds simple: set up one subscription for one free ad and other subscriptions with different ad amounts and and pricing.
For example, subscriptions like:
1 Free ad for 30 days
10 ads for 30 days for $20
30 Ads for 30 days for $50
The hurdle I'm hitting is what if someone wants to place more than 10 but not 30, say 15? I was thinking maybe they could sign up for 2 subscriptions of 10 ads, but users aren't allowed to sign up for multiple subscriptions. Not only that, I don't want people to sign up for multiple Free subscriptions.
Or after purchasing a subscription, what if the user decides to upgrade their subscription from 10 ads to 30? There is no way for them to change their subscription.
So I thought about setting up the Free ad as a subscription and then setting up the paid plans as Fees, but I can only set up Fees as one ad at a time.
I hope I explained that well enough.
Does anyone have any thoughts on how to set it up to allow owners have multiple paid subscriptions (and not the free one) and to allow the subscribed "upgrade" their subscription? Or if anyone has any other ideas to get around this, I'm open to them.
I do know a little php coding and have worked on modifying php files before, but I wouldn't say I'm an expert by any means.
Again, any help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Thanks for your post and your detailed explanation of the issue you are considering.
Sometimes, it is easy to get lost in the planning stages and overthink things before you get started. I would recommend setting up the plans as you outline above, so you can get started, then seeing what customers actually request. It is far to easy as business owners for us to get wrapped up about the minutiae of things like that instead of just putting something out there and experimenting based on what our customers actually TELL us.
As for the other paid subscription/multiple subscription, we don't have the ability to have more than 1 paid at a time, that's something that's not supported.
One last comment about this -- as an administrator, you can prevent people from posting multiple free ads by requiring admin approval on those ads -- that way, you have more control over those. Also, you might shorten the free ad to be listed for only 7-10 days, and think about extending the subscription ad length, to make it an even better deal.
I hope that helps. Good luck with the new site!
