Sometimes working with AWPCP gets you a 404 error. They can happen one of two ways--messing with the page names for Browse Ads, Browse Categories, etc. Or by turning on SEO Friendly URLs.
If you see the following: Turning on SEO Friendly URLs gives you 404 errors on the main page links. Turning it off makes them go away.
Or you changed a page name (Browse Ads, Browse Categories, etc) and now that page is showing up as 404...
There are a few common issues that could be at work:
1) You might have modified the page name in the Pages section of your WP blog instead of changing the name on the AWPCP admin page. Any time you need to update the name of a Classified page (any of them), do it through AWPCP's admin page, NOT the WordPress one.
2) If you did do the WP page modification by in the Pages section and NOT AWPCP's admin section, make sure your permalink exactly matches the title of the page in the appropriate way. [b:hoveck4h]If your page is named "My New Page", your permalink should be "my-new-page" (without the quotes). Spaces become dashes, the entire string is lowercase, special characters like ':*$ are simply stripped out. Fix that first.[/b:hoveck4h]
3) For SEO Friendly URLs, you need to go use a NON-default permalink structure in Wordpress. Go to your Settings->Permalinks to change this. A good suggestion is to use /%category%/%postname%/.
4) Finally, if you are you using SEO friendly URLs, please read the docs carefully about having to set the paths and permalink structure. It's under the docs: [url:hoveck4h]http://awpcp.com/about-2[/url:hoveck4h]. The SEO section is here: [url:hoveck4h]http://www.awpcp.com/about-2/seo/[/url:hoveck4h]
